Hire a sales person or buy add space?

Would it be better for us to hire a sales person at $1,000 per week plus commission, OR get add space like a billboard etc.



I have an internet business where we make web sites, host sites, develop web apps, and offer subscriptions to our content management system.

with the money you have, I would do direct mail, using a 3 step system to generate and convert leads off the page.

That is a REALLY generous salary/commission offer. And maybe not necessary to generate the leads that you are seeking.



I saw that someone recommended direct mail and I would highly advise against it. It has become very expensive, and your ROI is typically much less than your investment.



I would suggest marketing via unique avenues. Everyone is trying to get their foot in the door as a web site host, etc. BUT, it sounds like you have already become successful - market the reasons...market your portfolio...show people that others have had confidence in your company.



Network. Attend %26quot;after hours%26quot; events, join networking groups (marketing executives, entrepreneur clubs, etc), and network through contacts, family and friends.



Seek out websites that could be better - and show them how you would improve it. Show companies the ROI in using your services.
