Ok, this might be a really silly question but I have know idea. I楹搈 building a website but my web host doesn楹搕 allow me to use PHP or ASP or Perl or any of that kind but I want to have a submission form on my site. Here%26#039;s my question; Does every web host have CGI bin? Can I use CGI script to make a %26quot;sign up for newsletter%26quot; form?
CGI bin?? Any web host have this?
Most web hosts have cgi, though most free hosting does not allow access to the bin. They dont like allowing the %26quot;post%26quot; or %26quot;get%26quot; methods from the bin (required for forms and submissions etc etc) there are free cgi hosting services...I personally prefer to just register a domain and get professional hosting,, I have mine at http://rockwebhosting/ and it runs me about $100/yr
CGI bin?? Any web host have this?

For $4/month, you get everything you need including your own
domain name.
Other Replys:Try companies such as Bluehost or Startlogic.
http://www.getawebpage.net - that site lists the best hosting companies in the business.
Other Replys:For free try tripod, else you can give web hosting from websites like http://aplis.net/ a try.
Other Replys:Not every web host has a CGI Bin.
Check out http://www.topwebhostreview.info/ - they%26#039;ve done all the homework and reviewed and ranked the top web hosting companies. You can check and see to make sure which one has PHP or CGI as they break down all of their services as well.
Check it out - Hopefully that helps you!
Cheers
