How do I host my own web page? o I need any programs? I have a basic HTML test site, but only on my computer, and not host worldwide. So how do I do it worldwide? Does it cost money? If so how much? And why are some prices different then others? And how do the companys get my site on the web? And, If I sign up for Google Adwords, will that cover the cost of the webpage? If you can think of any other necisary imformation I need to know about web page hosting and whatnot, please let me know, because I hate having to always cheak my email, to see if I have a new answer. Thats why I try to ask all I can at once.
(P.S. don%26#039;t mind the spelling errors)

How do I host my own web page?
If you want to host a website only accessible from your computer, download + install Apache, or use a pre-configured server environment.
I suggest XAMPP Lite. You download, extract, and run!
If you want people worldwide to see your website, you%26#039;ll need to buy website hosting or find a free web host.
Other Replys:There are plenty of web hosts, many of them free. You need to register a domain name. When you sign up you will see instructions for posting your files. The most likely way is by ftp. You can also use an online editor on many hosts. Try the link below for a start.
Other Replys:You will need a web server program such as apache (it%26#039;s free) for starters.
You also need a full time internet connection with a speed adequate for your site. If you plan on very few visitors, then a fast DSL connection could work for you.
If you plan to have any dymanic content using PHP scripts, you will need to install PHP on your computer.
If you plan to have a databas4e you will also need a database server such as MySql.
All three of the programs I listed are free and open source. They are used by the largest and smallest of web servers. Yahoo uses them! I use them.
Other Replys:go to any free web hosting site. some I have used are www.geocities.com.and www.bravenet.com. sign up, read the directions, do what it says. your up and running in no time.
use a FREE site to get started and used to HTML. or use a wizard, (they all have a wizard for the complete newbie) and get familiar with it that way. HTML tutorials are all over the web search word is HTML help or html tutorial. , again read the site do what it says.
as long as your not using it for commercial enterprise your fine and it don%26#039;t mater what one you use.
once your site is up its automatically world wide. I dont know about the google ad words so cant help you there.
after you get your feet wet and are fairly comfortable with using the terms so you know what a paid site is selling you and know the differences,
you can go with a paid place if you want, prices vary but if your this new to the whole thing, id go with a free site for a while until you know what your needs are going to be, price band width MG of space and criteria are as varied as the wind in paid sites. do research to see what meets your needs art a price you want to pay.before you go there.
Other Replys:If you are serious about websites either for personal or your business, don%26#039;t go to free web hosting as they are usually not reliable and you may end up losing all your hard work. Free web hosts usually put advertisements on your websites and it could be annoying.
If you like to create websites (usually you will end up more than 1 website, I got more than 100 websites in about 6 months%26#039; time), go for multiple web hosting services where you could host all your websites in one account.
I would like to suggest following webhosting which I use, they are excellent.
