I see a lot of web sites with the extention .aspx. eg: www.benzerworld.com
*what does it stand for ?
*what s/w (s) or packages are required to build such sites?
*possible web-hosts for such sites?
What is .aspx?
ASP = Active Server Pages and the X at the end signifies that it is then latest .net version.
This is a Microsoft technology for dynamic web pages that rivals PHP.
You can use Visual Studio to build sites using ASPX is also Expression Web which is another Microsoft product.
Most of the good hosts will allow you to use ASPX, you just have to look out for it. It is likely to be a bit more expensive
